Disturbing report cites Indonesia as #1 destination for Aussie pedophile tourists

Indonesia is the biggest travel destination for Australian child sex tourists, claims an article released by The Age.

Bali is of the most popular starting points for these sexual predators, who take advantage of vulnerable children from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds, alleges the article. 

While this report is clearly disturbing and we can only imagine it would be all too easy for a bule with deep pockets to exploit Bali’s poorest children, be warned that this article is lacking in clear reliable sources and statistics. It cites a couple of NGO workers, but is highly anecdotal. 

Though this sort of “tourism” is probably going down in Bali, we really hope it’s not to the scale that the article suggests.
