This ain’t poppycock! 4 kiddos caught running chicken stealing operation up in North Bali

Yes, this is Bali, where reports of crime range from ATM scams to poultry theft. Four children were caught thieving chickens Sunday in Mendoyo District, Jembrana, northwest Bali. 

You can chuckle all you want but the extent of the poultry theft is pretty serious. The owner of the chicken, Pariasa Wayan told Tribun Bali that before this all started he had 60 chickens in his coop. But every night in the last week the amount was reduced, until finally only six birds are left. Imagine having your business shaved down to just a tenth!

Three of the thieves are still listed as school students in Jembrana, while the fourth dropped out of school. Their ages are recorded as 16, 19, 14 and 17. They were caught at 3 am on Sunday with eight chickens in tow, reported Tribun. 

Because the thieves aren’t legally adults yet, Pariasa is not seeking to resolve the incident through legal channels, but in an amicable manner only. Legally pursuing the teen perpetrators would mean they go to jail first, so Pariasa reportedly prefers to speak with their parents first. Alls well that ends well, we suppose.
