Bodies recovered of missing drowning victims in Sanur
The bodies of two victims who drowned on Tuesday were finally located today. The victims, Kika Candra Irawan, 19, and Antok, 25, were reportedly lying out on the beach with friends Tuesday morning when strong waves pulled them into the ocean.
Irawan and Antok have been missing since, until this morning when construction workers in Seloreojo Village spotted Irawanâs body floating in the Sunrise Beach, Sanur area. Sources say it took five boats to evacaute Irawan’s body.
Conditions werenât good, after two days at sea, the body was discovered in a rigid state with the facial skin peeling off. Irawanâs body was sent immediately to Sanglah hospital for autopsy and the team eventually found Ahokâs body almost four hours later.
50 personnel were deployed as a part of the search team, according to the search and rescue team that had been continuously searching for the victims since their disappearance Tuesday morning.
