Kerobokan prisoner found dead, appears he hung himself
A prisoner in Baliās infamous Kerobokan Prison was found dead Friday afternoon and reports say it appears he hung himself.
The prisoner, Ropik Bin Pupon, 26, was from Banyuwangi, East Java. Police allege Pupon took his own life in the back of the prison. His body was discovered around 1 pm by other inmates and prison officers, said Ronny Riantoko Epang from North Kuta police.
According to Epang, there were no apparent signs of violence on Puponās body. Pupon was in Kerobokan for drugs, but reports have not indicated how long heās been serving or what specifically his sentence is.
Not far from where officers found Puponās body were set of clothes: a white shirt, gray pants, brown hat, blue jean shorts and sandals. More interestingly was also a knife wrapped with a hose and a plastic rope.
